The NSF-sponsored workshop Uncertainty in Machining will be held in Washington, DC from February 24-26, 2010. The workshop is sponsored by George Hazelrigg, NSF, and co-chaired by Dr. Schmitz; Dr. Ali Abbas, UIUC, Dr. Burak Ozdoganlar, CMU; Dr. Scott Smith, UNCC; and Dr. John Ziegert, Clemson University. Dr. Schmitz' new book, Machining Dynamics: Frequency Response to Improved Productivity, co-authored with Dr. Scott Smith, UNCC, is now available from Springer. We'd like to learn more about your precision machining applications. Please contact us to discuss research opportunities for 2010. Learn about the foundations of machine tool metrology.
